Ryan O’Neill died on December 8, 2023 at the age of 82 after a long struggle with leukemia, prostate cancer and heart failure. Famous thanks to the cult roles in the films “Love Story” and “Barry Lyndon”, O’nila’s personal life was overshadowed by scandals, especially his rapid relations with actress Farra Fossett.

His son Redmond, who was in a stationary institution, was not present at his funeral, and two other children – Gryffin and Tatum O’Neill – were also absent. Gryffin, who was alienated from his father for 17 years after a brutal quarrel, said that he was not invited, although he hoped to be present and say goodbye.
