9-year-old William Girke
9-year-old William Girke from Wisconsin was very proud of his T-shirt. But once, having come home from school, he found himself in tears and with a broken heart. His classmates mocked him and called Sisi simply because the T -shirt was pink.
William chose this T -shirt to show his support to patients with cancer, and the inscription “Firm guys wear pink” flaunted on it. This T -shirt was sold in support of the charity organization to combat breast cancer. Unfortunately, his peers did not show understanding-they began to call him because of the color of clothes.
William’s mother, Tommy, was completely devastated when she saw her son returns from school, holding back her tears. The evil words of classmates touched the boy so much that he did not want to go to school the next day. Tommy did not know how to help him. But, fortunately, the situation has changed thanks to a careful teacher.
The next day, waiting for another ridicule, William was surprised to find that his teacher, David Winter, also put on a pink shirt. The teacher, noticing what his student passes through, decided to show support and solidarity, choosing a pink outfit. This, at first glance, a small gesture, became for William a huge support and an important signal for all students: mockery of the color of clothing is unacceptable.
“I feel much more confident, now it doesn’t hurt me anymore,” William said after the teacher had been defending him.
No child should suffer because he is dressed. The great respect to this teacher for supporting his student. Share this story to pay tribute to the support that he had provided to William!
